Our client, a high-growth educational institution building a world-class artisan training college, is seeking a Head of Campus to lead their new location in Cape Town. Role Overview • Position: Head of Campus – Cape Town • Reports To: Chief Operating Officer (COO) • Location: Cape Town, South Africa • Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent The Opportunity As our client opens their Cape Town campus, they require an experienced operational executive to oversee site management, strategic growth, and team performance. The Head of Campus will serve as the primary operational leader on-site, serving as the critical link between central leadership and daily campus execution. This executive will drive financial sustainability, program excellence, and student success within the region's dynamic economic landscape. Key Responsibilities Strategy & Strategic Growth • Execute local campus strategy aligned with the client’s broader organisational growth ambitions. • Expand campus offerings through new programmes, strategic partnerships, and deep employer relationships. • Ensure the campus remains aligned with the local Western Cape economic context and industry needs. Campus Operations & Quality • Direct day-to-day operations, including facility management, scheduling, systems, and processes. • Oversee delivery across all active training programmes, maintaining strict quality, regulatory, and accreditation standards. • Act as the primary authority for campus-level decision-making and performance tracking against key performance indicators (KPIs). Team Leadership & Culture • Lead, mentor, and accountability-manage multi-functional, on-site campus teams. • Cultivate the client’s organizational culture locally while maintaining close alignment with central department directors (HR, Finance, Operations). • Identify internal talent, drive performance, and support ongoing professional development. Financial & Programmatic Management • Partner with central finance to build and manage a sustainable financial model, controlling campus expenditure and tracking budgets. • Oversee headcount, resource planning, and delivery troubleshooting to optimize student outcomes. • Represent the client professionally across regional networks, employers, and industry stakeholders. First-Year Objectives • Establish operational stability, achieving smooth programme delivery across the Cape Town campus. • Ensure student experience and delivery outcomes meet or exceed organizational benchmarks. • Build a high-performing campus team while driving progress toward long-term site financial sustainability.
