Technical Sales Representative

About the Role Are you a results-driven Technical Sales Representative with a proven sales track record within the engineering and manufacturing sector, looking to join a dynamic commercial team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth, managing key industrial accounts, and expanding our market footprint within the engineering and manufacturing sectors across South Africa. If you have a proven track record in technical solution selling, strong negotiation skills, and a deep understanding of manufacturing processes, we want to hear from you. Key Responsibilities • Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities within the engineering and manufacturing industries. • Build and maintain long-term, high-value relationships with key client decision-makers, engineers, and procurement managers. • Conduct technical presentations and present tailored product/service solutions to address client needs. • Prepare and present accurate commercial proposals, formal tenders, and quotations. • Manage sales pipelines, forecast quarterly revenue, and consistently meet/exceed targets. • Gather market intelligence, track competitor activity, and identify emerging industry trends. Minimum Requirements & Qualifications • Experience: Minimum 5 years of proven sales experience specifically within the engineering, manufacturing, or heavy industrial sectors (essential). • Education: A post-matric qualification (National Diploma, Degree, or Technical Qualification in Sales, Marketing, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or related field) will be an advantage. • Driver's License: Valid South African Code 8 (EB) unendorsed driver’s license and willing to travel regionally. • Technical Aptitude: Ability to read technical drawings, understand manufacturing processes, and communicate specs clearly. • Track Record: Demonstrated history of meeting and exceeding technical sales targets. • Language: Excellent verbal and written communication skills English and Afrikaans.
